Self-care is a powerful choice, especially in these unprecedented times. Self-care enables you to engage in activities that are essential to maintain your optimal level of physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health. In this workshop, we will offer ideas to create new habits and strengthen existing habits to maximize your happiness and your productivity, while minimizing anxiety and stress. Join us as we discuss ways to promote self-care and emotional regulation during virtual learning.
About the NJEA Teacher Leaders to the Rescue series:
As students continue learning within a virtual school environment this fall, many frequently asked questions and concerns centered around social-emotional and academic experiences have evolved. A series of workshops have been developed to support the adults at
home working with students in this virtual environment.
Current public school teachers and participants of the NJEA Teacher Leader Academy, Brittany Bloss (Wall Township Public Schools, Special Education Teacher), Charlene Gerbig (Closter Public Schools, Elementary Teacher, and Instructional Coach) and Dr. Johanna Amaro
(Plainfield Public Schools, English as Second Language Teacher) hope to provide insight, encouragement, and support to parents, caregivers, and students during this unprecedented time.
