BREAKING!! BREAKING!! BREAKING!! BREAKING!! BREAKING!!
This Thursday, the entire NJ Assembly will vote on ACR 215, which would overturn PARCC as a graduation requirement!
THIS DOES NOT REQUIRE GOVERNOR CHRISTIE”S SIGNATURE!
Please do two quick things right now:
1) Use this link to contact your legislators
2) The first name and phone number that comes up after you use the link is that of your state senator. Please call your state senator and ask her/him to co-sponsor SCR 132 (the senate version of ACR 215). Leaving a message on their voicemail is great!
Thanks to your calls and nearly 6,000 emails, ACR 215 was overwhelmingly approved by the Assembly Education Committee on February 13th. If the full Assembly approves it this Thursday, it will move to the New Jersey Senate for a vote.
If a simple majority of the NJ Assembly and NJ Senate support ACR 215 and its companion Senate CR 132, the current PARCC graduation requirements would be struck down.
